T.I is a well-known American Hip Hop artist, actor, producer and C.E.O based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also known as Tip or T.I.P, which was given to him by his grandfather. Out of respect to his label mate Q-TIP, he changed his name to T.I. T.I.P was raised by his grandparents in the Westside Bankhead Zone 1 streets in Atlanta. He started rapping when he was only 8 years old.  In early 2000’s, he established himself as one of the most successful rappers in the music industry. Since then, he boasts of 9 studio albums. He is also the C.E.O and founder of Grand Hustle Records.

T.I is a business man. He is the founder and C.E.O of Grand Hustle Records meaning this is also a source of his income. He has also invested in a nightclub situated in Bankhead region, Atlanta and also a strip club in the same area called VLive Atlanta. Because of his success on and off stage, he has several endorsements such as Chevrolet. He has also signed an agreement with Axe and Streetcred, a social surfing website.

T.I has produced songs for big names in the music industry such as Mariah Carey, Maino, and Rick Ross. In 2006, he launched a film company called Grand Hustle Films which produced the show Life on Mars. He is also the executive producer in Sisterhood of Hip Hop documentary series.

It is also safe to say that he has earned every penny of his fortune. This is through his business ventures, films and most importantly, the music industry.

T.I was born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. on September 25, 1980. He is the son of Clifford Harris and Violeta Morgan.  He was however raised by his grandparents. T.I went to Douglass High School but dropped out due to altercations with the law. He was arrested several times for dealing drugs while he was still a teenager.

T.I started to rap at age 8 and became professional at age 14. I the early 2000’s he shot to fame after releasing his debut album “I’m Serious”. From then on, he has remained relevant in the music industry by releasing 9 studio albums most of which went gold. He has also won multiple Grammy awards.

T.I Family

T.I has quite a large family. 7 kids call him daddy. He dated Tameka, a former Xscape member since 2001. They married in 2010 and together have 2 daughters and one son. He also has two sons Messiah and Domani with Lashon Dixon and a daughter Deyjah with Ms. Niko, a former RnB singer.  Finally, he has one stepdaughter Zonnique from his marriage to Cottle.

Tameka, his wife of 6 years filed for divorce in December 2016.
