KARE Morning Anchor Kim Insley Leaves Station

It is never easy to lose sight of a familiar face in our lives, be it in real life or television. This is what the suburban people of Minneapolis, Minnesota when they learned that their beloved morning news anchor Kim Insley was bidding farewell to her longtime workstation KARE 11.

Why is Kim Insley Leaving KARE after 24 years:

Kim Insley has been one of the most recognized faces in the twin cities of Minnesota after being the first thing people looked at in the morning news section of KARE 11. Kim parted ways from her occupation of 24 and half years after first starting work there in 1993.

The news was first given by the KARE11’s Facebook page that posted,

Kim has been a leader in the newsroom and we are appreciative and grateful for her many contributions.

She opened up about her leave on a Facebook video stating her leave to all the fans and supporters of hers as well as the show. After she gave the public segments her Facebook, as well as Twitter pages, blew up with fans thanking her for her work and expressing sadness over her leave. Many of her colleagues also took to social media to individually express their own gratitude and well-wishes to the vet anchor including her co-anchor, Tim McNiff who had worked with Kim for 21 years until he left in 2014 only to return to KARE last May.

Her Future Plans: Where is she working now?

We are not sure about why Kim Insley has left her almost 2 and a half decades long successful career but we are sure that there is a good reason behind it. We are clear that she is not totally retiring yet as per her Facebook video. She had said “there is a lot she looks forward too” and also that she is “already working on some projects that I hope will benefit this community.” So her fans can all rest assured about her career.

Kim Insley in her 24-year long career has made quite a name for herself. She won an Upper Midwest Chapter Regional Emmy Award for best On-Camera Talent, news anchor, in 2009 and the ‘What’s Cool in Our School?’ that she featured in was also nominated for an Emmy. Before KARE she has also worked in KXTV and KOIN-TV. Her bio suggests that she is married and she and her husband Pete have 2 beautiful daughters. Apart from that she also has 3 more family members; 2 dogs and a cat.
